Next Batman game will be a... Silver Age prequel?

News just in that the next Batman game involving the Arkhamverse, proceeding from Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City will be set in... The Silver Age period?

Both Batman games involved the Joker as the main villain and the mastermind behind all the catastrophe which occurs.

Batman Arkham Asylum involves the Joker releasing all inmates from Arkham Asylum and giving them dosages of Titan (which fuels the mighty Bane. If you don't know him then look him up... Shameful), which turns them into huge, rage monsters. Using Batman's fighting skills and detective knowledge you find what the Clown Prince of Crime's mischievous plans actually are.
Batman Arkham City once again involves Joker. This one shows a sick Joker; This is from when he exposed himself to the Titan formula. Joker is willing to do anything to get that cure. Once again you have to use your skills to know what is really going on in Arkham City and what Protocol 10 is. This game includes a variety of characters all over the Batman universe, going from Catwoman to Ra's Al Ghul straight to Hugo Strange.
According to Rocksteady studios the new game will focus on the meeting between Batman and the Joker. Rumor has it that this game will in fact involve characters from the Justice League of America!

DC games have been doing a few crossover games including LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and the forthcoming Injustice: Gods Among us. WB (Warner Brothers) have been pushing to make a Justice League movie and I think that they are only adding the Justice League characters in the next Batman game, to only push the possibility a little further.

Both of the Batman games have been dark and gritty and I wonder how a Silver Age (1950's) style will go with this, especially with them including the JLA, but maybe they are just trying a new thing.

What do you think?
