New live-action series for ABC in the Avengers universe?

Marvel/Disney has now dominated the big screen, so what's the harm on dominating the small screen.


Despite previous announcements for live-action Marvel/Disney TV series being produced (Jessica Jones and a Hulk series), they have a new project in mind; they are now looking into expanding the cinematic Universe for The Avengers!


Rumor has it that the series will lightly be involved with The Avengers cinematic Universe but will not feature most of the main cast from Joss Whedon's The Avengers, but it has not been revealed.


Personally, I think that the TV series may just be based on SHIELD Agents and their missions (maybe even show the back story for Agent Coulson and Maria Hill!). They may even have the chance to introduce new characters from the Marvel Universe.
(I only hope that they don't ruin the whole Marvel hype which is going on now)
