Is there a future for John Blake?

THIS POST MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE DARK KNIGHT RISES MOVIE!!!

Before "The Dark Knight Rises" movie was released, there was a lot of fans doing lots of speculating with them asking: "Will Batman die and is John Blake really going to be the next Batman?"
Well now fans can rest in ease knowing that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is playing probably the most important character in the whole movie.
Christopher Nolan has left it to the viewers on whether John Blake will take on the role of the second Batman, after Bruce had decided to fake his "death".
The following will show what we think may happen with the character...

FUTURE FILMS

Chances are pretty slim for John Blake to be getting his own movie, regarding the fact that we all know and love Bruce Wayne as the one and only Batman. Probably the only movie that could involve another character (apart from Bruce Wayne) under a Batman cowl would be a Batman Beyond film, where a younger person is chosen as Batman, and people would still not really be able to connect as they did with Bruce.

Also, Christopher Nolan had said that he wasn't going to be doing a next Batman related film, but if he were to make a next Batman film and have John Blake as The Dark knight, then not many people would be happy with the choice. Basically, he would really have to do another origin story for the new Batman and would be like Batman Begins.

There is one thing that Nolan would be able to do, and that is to do what Tim Burton did with his Batman movies. Tim Burton just jumped into his universe where there is already a Batman and he just shows different things to help us piece why he became Batman.

FUTURE COMICS

Apparently, John Blake had a brief appearance in an early Batman adventure decades ago. Blake was a Gotham cop like in the movie.
They may bring back Blake into one of the stories and make him a rather important part of Bruce Wayne's/Batman's life or they might just take the John Blake from the movie and maybe make an possible future saga, involving John Blake.
