Despicable Me spin-off for Minions?

It's rumored that Universal and Illumination have decided that it is time to move on and are now planning on making a Despicable Me spin-off involving the much beloved little yellow henchmen, The Minions.

The movie will be released at least a year after Despicable Me 2 which will be coming to theaters 2013.
