<div style="text-align: left;">
Mike and his classmates have the privilege to experience the 'Scarers' going into the 'Human world', but with one exception... don't go over the clear red line, but obviously Mike ignores this and follows one of the scarers into a child's bedroom (I know, creepy), to collect its scream and therefore harvest it to power the city. The scarer does his job and exits the room, only to find a bunch of workers staring at him. The scarer turns around and sees a star-strucken Mike Wazowski staring at him. He tells Mike that he didn't even see him, yet appears impressed. He hands Mike his Monsters University cap (which was too big for Mike's head). Mike then goes to his teacher and says 'I want to be a scarer!'</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Eleven years later, Mike is a first year scare major. Mike is an obvious know-it-all, when it comes to scaring 101, but isn't physically intimidating. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
He heads over to his room and shares it with the soon to be villain, Randal Boggs, from Monsters inc. As a first year scare major, Randal is as nice and kind as they come.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS6qYZa4GjUxHlwDsfkbxGFU-m9Lt4dhAGNIJJUSE0emz4NGju3enUjWOwM09-tJ14_CxTrdt9L5i9Ljfp20eSMrJkon1_Mo12EJyddntzsDkwcfZd2zqiTGq-9COys6mYBlv45fi0wR0y/s1600/monstersuniforweb_2615089b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS6qYZa4GjUxHlwDsfkbxGFU-m9Lt4dhAGNIJJUSE0emz4NGju3enUjWOwM09-tJ14_CxTrdt9L5i9Ljfp20eSMrJkon1_Mo12EJyddntzsDkwcfZd2zqiTGq-9COys6mYBlv45fi0wR0y/s320/monstersuniforweb_2615089b.jpg" width="320" /></a>Mike goes to his first lesson accompanied by Randal. This is where the blue, fluffy and less loveable James P 'Sulley' Sullivan comes in. Sulley comes from a family of successful scarers and therefore lazily relies on his natural talents. Mikey sees Sulley as a threat.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Mike and Sulley try to enter fraternity groups, with only Sulley being successful and getting into</div>
ROR (Roar Omega Roar). At their first exam, both Sulley and Mikey are both failed by the freaky, dragon... person, Dean Abigail Hardscrabble, after they destroyed a canister trophy of which was a prized possession to her. She said Sulley doesn't study enough and Mike just isn't scary, full stop. Mike is rejected by the ROR fraternity.<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
They are both sentenced to study canister making, which from I could see looked incredibly mind numbing. Mike opposed Hardscrabble with a wager. If he could get through the Scare games, then he can be put back in the scare games. He joins the only fraternity available to him, the Underdogs, Oozma Kampa. hardscrabble agrees with the wager, but points out they are one man short. Sulley takes this as an opportunity to get back in the scare program. Mike reluctantly agrees. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Mike tries to train the Oozma Kampa physically and mentally, to get prepared for their first challenge. Fortunately, they manage to get through by the skin of their teeth. Due to this, ROR invite them to their house party. We all consider this as a friendly gesture, but they have a more sinister plot, when Randal (the back-stabbing chameleon) dumps colourful goo, sprinkles and teddies on them, which discourages the group. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
ROR post the picture of the shamed group all over the University for all eyes to see. The groups of Oozma Kampa then start to question themselves and Mikes abilities. To lift their spirits up, Mike organise for them to sneak in to Monster inc, where he shows all the Monsters of which have physical differences to other Monsters and saying that what makes them special is that they are all different. This successfully cheers them up. Though Mi</div>
ke had showed them this, Sulley doubts Mikey's scaring ability. In the last challenge, they all had to put their scaring usage to the test, by having to use different techniques and scare remote dummies. Oozma Kampa actually end up winning the tournament against ROR, but Mike smells something fishy and discovers that Sulley had rigged the machine to make Mike score increase.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Sulley confesses to Dean Hardscrabble that he cheated, just as they are informed that someone went through a door to the human world. Sulley enters the door to go and find Mike. Once Sulley finds Mikey, Mikey accepts that he isn't scary. Sulley cheers him up, not only by saying that he isn't scary, but he is special. They both then determine their friendship. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
They then make their way back to the door to their own world, but Hardscrabble deactivated the door. Mike told Sulley that if they can generate enough scream energy, they could possibly be able to open the doorway. Mike and Sulley scared the adults so much, that they were able to get to their world (frankly, I think what they did to the adults could have scarred them for life).</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Due to their actions, Mike and Sulley are both expelled from the University, but Hardscrabble tells them that they are the first to surprise her and wishes them luck.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The movie ends with both Mike and Sulley working in the mail room, with The Abominable Snowman! Yeah, THE Abominable Snowman! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We are shown Mike and Sully going through the stages of different part of their career going up to who we know and love in Monsters inc.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Pixar isn't really the best when it comes to sequels. Sure Toy Story 3 had grown men weep from the sight of a toy waving at its previous owner, but the 'Spy' flick, Cars 2, was just plain bad. Though Pixar may not be the best at sequels, Monsters University was very good.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I am a big fan of Disney and Pixar and frankly, I was a tiny bit nervous about them making sequel/prequel to one of my favourite movies of all time, monsters inc. To be honest, I was expecting them to do some sort of continuation for Boo, but thinking back on it, I don't really know how they would have actually been able to do that.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I thought the story was pretty decent, but lacking in the 'act of surprise' aspect. Most of the specific story arcs were pretty cliche. Nothing was surprising. Once I heard the Main theme to this movie, I was almost in tears thanks to memories of Monsters inc, but there was nothing specifically fresh or new about this movie.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Despite the fact that some of the some of the story was disappointing, the characters were fleshed out very well. I could really feel the battle that Mike had to go through to just be good at what he's always dreamed of doing, but still experiences plenty of downfalls and failures. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To be honest, I absolutely hated Sulley at the beginning of the film. Please mind my French, but he was a complete and utter jerk! He was cocky, he was rude and overall he was just plain hatable. I actually started to think that Pixar had left Monsters inc so long, that they actually forgot how Mr James P Sullivan's personality was, but I was relieved when by the end of the movie, he acted like the same cuddly 'Kitty' that both the Human child, Boo and the audience fell in love with.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8EGW4spin7SyDBYae6dJtFAIeQlFeABrsez6T9bKY5DKu93vW-_zDAQmaVT93AROnsMJRdAVUXrRYBlo80IUI260IAAaAzhlGqb0Nip1SphKOdVk9ONAO5c2qR1dOVD0YQubCxJ4EhpP2/s1600/Monsters-University-OK-Cake-300x168.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8EGW4spin7SyDBYae6dJtFAIeQlFeABrsez6T9bKY5DKu93vW-_zDAQmaVT93AROnsMJRdAVUXrRYBlo80IUI260IAAaAzhlGqb0Nip1SphKOdVk9ONAO5c2qR1dOVD0YQubCxJ4EhpP2/s1600/Monsters-University-OK-Cake-300x168.jpg" /></a>Mike and Sulley's friendship really started to pan out towards the end. I am actually glad that they went with the idea that Sulley would cheat in order for Mike to think himself a winner and a real scarer. He didn't really do it to win; he did it so Mike wouldn't have to feel demolished and of no use in the monster world. What Sulley did for Mike was a rookie mistake, that only the real friends could commit. He only did it for Mikey's own well being. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The side characters were actually pretty fun! They weren't the average comic relief of which writers feel like they need to make over the top and on the borderline of being almost unbearable. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Randal Boggs was actually a very interesting character in this movie. He suffered from what most people can relate to... peer pressure. From what we could see from the beginning, Randal was as nice as they could come, until he joined a fraternity. I can</div>
imagine that once he joined ROR he wouldn't want to get thrown out of due to and I quote 'The fraternity that only has the best scarers'.<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The animation was beautiful as always. Truly a colourful masterpiece.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As I had said, this was a good movie, but falls short on Pixar's best of the best movies.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Overall, I give this movie a 7.5/10<br />

The Last son of Krypton is back in a more darker, realistic and Christopher Nolan-y take and its name is suitably named MAN OF STEEL.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Finally, a... decent Superman has graced the screen and it only took 30 years to do it!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The story begins (as all Superman origin stories do) with a dying Krypton, but this time due to an unstable core, due to the Kryptonians having used up all their natural recourses.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A Krypton scientist, Jor-El, is explaining to the ruling council about moving location, but they are killed by the military General, Zod. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Jor-El and his wife Lara send their son Kal of El (Kal-El) to Earth, knowing that there was no way of them to escaping from their doomed planet; but this is the thing... Kal was the first naturally born baby in centuries, whereas, all others had been genetically altered to serve specific jobs once they become of age. Along with this, he was also infused with genetic codex of the entire Kryptonian race!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After Zod discovers this, he kills Jor-El. Zods men try to shoot down Kal-El's spacecraft, only to be arrested for treason. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So, our last 5 minutes at our look of Krypton concludes with two minutes worth of Zod threatening Lara about finding her son 'I WILL FIND HIM!'; and Lara looking out of a screen witnessing the final seconds of the planet.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So, Kal-El's ship lands in Kansas, Smallville, where he as we know, is raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent, who they then name Clark.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Thanks to Clark's Kryptonian chemical structure, the Earth's sun radiation grants him superhuman abilities, which leads him to confusion. This then leads to a heart warming conversation between Martha and Clark, when he storms out of a classroom.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3GNtPF7uOxUg-edjwbF270SeRL0YbFWX6HdD0ZHYtSO8G29QSOO5OVt5N8y67-1_oh92oEEfEJnp1M2_n8Z6-ErIxkkRlj681y98rUAFtbZLpgzkuP_t6kneWm1T6hqZaR8tbS9tYsJLv/s1600/Man-of-Steel-Henry-Cavill-image-4-600x399.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3GNtPF7uOxUg-edjwbF270SeRL0YbFWX6HdD0ZHYtSO8G29QSOO5OVt5N8y67-1_oh92oEEfEJnp1M2_n8Z6-ErIxkkRlj681y98rUAFtbZLpgzkuP_t6kneWm1T6hqZaR8tbS9tYsJLv/s320/Man-of-Steel-Henry-Cavill-image-4-600x399.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
As Clark grows older he learns how to harness his and control his abilities and focusing on helping people, only to be exposed by his whole class and a bully. After the reveal, Jonathan then explains to a thirteen year old Clark how he is an alien and how whoever he turns out to be, he will change the world.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now fast forward a few years, we see Clark and Jonathan having an argument, where Clark fires out the old 'stab me in the back' line "You're not my real dad", which coincidentally leads to a tornado where Jonathan Kent is killed, where Clark could have easily have saved him; but they decided with the whole thing about 'having to keep your identity a secret' overshadowed this.<br />
So, as Clark grows older and wiser, we see him taking on multiple personalities and jobs, while saving people along the way. He saves a bunch of people at sea and destroys a truck without anyone seeing, all without having his identity revealed... yeah, like that would happen.<br />
Clark manages to find himself infiltrating a US military investigation in the Arctic, where they have discovered a Kryptonian scout ship and this is where we finally get to see The Daily Planet's star reporter Lois Lane, on the look out for an 'alien' which she has been searching for, who is of course Clark.<br />
Clark manages to locate the ship, Lois decides to follow him to only be attacked to by an AI within the ship, meanwhile Clark manages to find the hologram of Jor-El, who explains about Krypton and who he is and then gives him his own custom made suit. This is also where the obvious 'S' on his chest, actually means hope upon his own world.<br />
Kal then begins to practice flying and actually manages to get his grip on flying pretty easily.<br />
Lois goes back to the Daily Planet and tries to sell a story about 'Aliens walking amongst us' to her Chief editor Perry White, who ultimately rejects it.<br />
Although Perry told Lois to drop the story, she still decided to track down Clark and ended up tracking him down to Smallville and finally managing to get Clark's attention. After hearing his story, Lois decides to drop the story.<br />
The story then pans out about Zod and his men (including Faora) managing to escape the Negative Zone. They pick up a distress signal that was activated when Clark went to the Kryptonian ship. Zod sends out a freaky broadcast message all across the planet demanding that they hand Kal in, as he believes that Kal has the Codex (the only way to recognise Krypton). Clark agrees and the Military hand him in. Zod explains to Clark that to repopulate Krypton, they must use a terraforming 'World engine' to change the Earth's state to their needs, but this will ultimately kill the Human race.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnnJgd2V70U21FdqVEV6aHXAY0bowPhzQO6VTjM4vk5twCE1ciEQxdTfun3vTJF2TpMv8JfTzaq6iuEsHCdJSDKHBXljAIwBiYaNnFhE28fVb-HJr0_5tvM-FzEZO9ujLr8TA9F5vYHHxz/s1600/Man-of-Steel-General-Zod-armor-570x415.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnnJgd2V70U21FdqVEV6aHXAY0bowPhzQO6VTjM4vk5twCE1ciEQxdTfun3vTJF2TpMv8JfTzaq6iuEsHCdJSDKHBXljAIwBiYaNnFhE28fVb-HJr0_5tvM-FzEZO9ujLr8TA9F5vYHHxz/s320/Man-of-Steel-General-Zod-armor-570x415.jpg" width="320" /></a>To conclude, Clark disagrees, They fight, destroy half of Smallville and 3/4 of Metropolis, killing millions in the process. Faora is a bad butt killer and Clark eventually snaps Zod's neck, when he attempts to fry five people, so he practically saved five people and 1/4 of Metropolis... boy is he a saviour...<br />
At the end we see Clark heading towards Daily Planet stating that he has to work somewhere, where no one would question him, if he wanted to go somewhere dangerous and so... he becomes a journalist, and that's where it ends.<br />
<br />
So, i found the story to be... interesting. You can kind of see the similarities between this film and Batman Begins, which also had Christopher Nolan involved with the making.<br />
Although Batman Begins and The Dark Knight was a breath of fresh air, thanks to Nolan's realism and gritty story lines, assisted by Batman brooding demeanour; this doesn't necessarily work well when Superman is involved.<br />
This movie does play homage to the Richard Donner and Christopher Reeves' Superman movies from the 70's very well, but it suffers from what Superman Returns suffered from. This Superman is far too brooding. What happened to the light hearted, fun loving, boy scout we came to love over the past 75 years? What happened to the Man of Steel, who Batman loved to hate being around as they were both the complete opposite? What I am trying to say is that this Superman is far too serious. Christopher Nolan's dark movie view has completely taken over this movie. Supes didn't crack one joke in the movie... heck, Batman cracked more jokes than him in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises!<br />
Lois Lane discovering Superman's identity seemed like a dose of fresh air. Instead of Lane being fooled like a buffoon by an eyeglass wearing Clark Kent, she managed to track him down and find out who her mystery saviour really is. Personally, i think she may have discovered it a tiny bit too recently, but it was indeed a new take.<br />
Lois did discover who Kal-El was before she even had a full fledged conversation with him, but what <br />
about all the other fellow journalists and photographers working at the Daily Planet, who will actually talk to Clark face to face? Will they be fooled and see who Clark really is beneath the glasses?<br />

This strange, God-like being was actually seen as a threat, instead of just immediately being accepted within the general public.<br />
<br />
The destruction in this movie was a little bit too much in my view. It just wasn't necessary. Granted, this is actually the first time we have seen Supes use his powers to good use in combat, but 3/4 of Metropolis was destroyed and approximately 200,000 dead! I can assume that the death toll was twice as much in this than The Avengers, where they battled an army of high-teched aliens.<br />
A thing that was gained from all the destruction and death, was proving that Superman can't be at multiple places at once. In the previous Christopher Reeve's movies, I can guarantee that not one person died amongst the destruction that Lex Luthor, Zod and his party gang had caused, which was not realistic whatsoever.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPZz5MDl3Vt-xk2cnVWAnMqLX3KiuQeNibMiyMTd-PPiuHqw_JviHY0MTaNTc8C-nAMPJUh66UjFMOBJ_9ggYRiPByTqKDy4DoCfWA4aXtN6tgdVUWViUP8d7hG8btBOIh83ND5avlUp7z/s1600/dark-knight-rises-batman-img.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="132" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPZz5MDl3Vt-xk2cnVWAnMqLX3KiuQeNibMiyMTd-PPiuHqw_JviHY0MTaNTc8C-nAMPJUh66UjFMOBJ_9ggYRiPByTqKDy4DoCfWA4aXtN6tgdVUWViUP8d7hG8btBOIh83ND5avlUp7z/s200/dark-knight-rises-batman-img.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
They really should have left all the destruction for a future 'Death of Superman' storyline, where Metropolis experiences the worst catastrophe they have ever witnessed against Superman and the destructive Doomsday.<br />
If they really want to top the destruction of this movie for a sequel, they would seriously have to destroy all of Metropolis and Gotham city!<br />
And can somebody please tell me how they managed to rebuild the city so quickly within the movie? Wouldn't it have at least taken 10 years?<br />
<br />
But enough nit-picking about the destruction, lets talk more about the general story.<br />
Clark having to kill Zod, was a brave move for the writers. Superman having to kill someone has never actually been seen before on screen, never mind punching! For fans of the original red and blue boy scout, I can understand how this would a shock to the system and possibly disapproved of; but when you think about it, this has the opportunity to go places. This could possibly be shown to have Superman swear for this to be the first and last time that he is going to kill and this therefore leads to him eventually having to kill again, which doesn't leave him in a good state.<br />
(I still don't appreciate how he only killed Zod when he threatened to kill five people, after 200,000 people can be presumed dead).<br />
<br />
The acting was superb, I have to say.<br />
Henry Cavill does give a convincing portrayal of someone just trying to find where they belong. He also has the perfect look for Superman. One thing that I do question about his performance, was his constant brooding look. I know I had touched on this before, but I want the Superman whose smile could make even the saddest kid happy.<br />
Amy Adam's Lois Lane, is personally the best portrayal up to date. This Lois gives the comic book counterpart justice. She is the sassy and feisty Lois, but she is also one who will laugh in the face of danger and won't look annoying while doing it.<br />
Michael Shannon's Zod couldn't be done better. There is nothing better than a villain who believes he is doing something for the greater good. Shannon's portrayal shows a relentless, murderous leader, yet someone who has been through great pain.<br />
Antje Traue as Faora was one of the best things about the movie. Her killer instinct was just plainly awesome and her combat skills alone was enough to make any man shudder.<br />
<br />
Overall, I did actually enjoy this film. The movie had it's problems and continuity points which should have been left for a later date, but Man of Steel is setting up for a bigger universe (though, they really could have planned it better).<br />
<br />
I give this movie a 7.5/10<br />

Well according to <a href="http://nukethefridge.com/2013/12/27/exclusive-denzel-lex-hes-playing-green-lantern-superman-vs-batman/">Nuke the Fridge</a>, the latest casting rumour is for the 59 year old actor Denzel Washington to play Jon Stewart in the sequel.<br />
Here's what they put on their website:<br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: black; font-family: Calibri, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">According to our source, the “Training Day” actor is being considered for the role of Green Lantern John Stewart instead. If this proves to be true, Green Lantern will join an ever growing list of members from DC’s Justice League of America that also include Superman, Batman and Wonder Women.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGxy7jJOnukPNBAXa63C_CeTEcX3bmaRblAdo8Bbkb0Mfbz0n8QlCArmz9QeX-UJoKPNOq7i_cg3yWUlY4-yGm340s7T3_G_lf4oBT9CCpw9kYH8hy5o4IrwDcEXK9J5tclQQXuuaUZB26/s1600/images.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGxy7jJOnukPNBAXa63C_CeTEcX3bmaRblAdo8Bbkb0Mfbz0n8QlCArmz9QeX-UJoKPNOq7i_cg3yWUlY4-yGm340s7T3_G_lf4oBT9CCpw9kYH8hy5o4IrwDcEXK9J5tclQQXuuaUZB26/s1600/images.jpg" /></a><span style="background-color: black;">But that's not the only rumour about Denzel Washington being connected to BVS! A few weeks ago, another rumour was revealed, saying that Denzel Washington is playing Lex Luthor! Weird right?</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: black;">And anyway, I thought this movie was called 'Batman VS Superman'? 'Not Batman VS Superman: and Green Lantern, also featuring Wonder Woman'. It seems to me that they are sneakily trying to rename it Justice League. </span><br />
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span>

<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: black;">But what do you guys think? </span><br />
<span style="background-color: black;">Is Denzel Washington a good choice for Green Lantern or Lex Luthor?</span><br />

Stan Lee turned 91 today and doesn't look a day over 70 (it may be possible he was part of a super soldier experiment). </div>
<div>
I mostly just wanted to say happy Birthday to Stan and hope for many more to come. He has been a big part of my life. If it weren't for him and his comics, i possibly wouldn't be the person i am today. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Dark Knight on the trail for Roman Sionis AKA<br />
The Black Mask on Christmas Eve, after discovering that he had placed a $50 million bounty on his head and therefore attracting eight of the worlds deadliest assassins, including Killer Croc, Deathstroke, Electrocutioner, Copperhead, Lady Shiva, Deadshot, Bane and Firefly; and among the chaos occuring with the assassins trying to find Bats, Anarky and an unknown murderer called The Joker take this time to fulfil their plans for their own agendas.<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
During Batman's mission to take down the assassins, he also runs into The Penguin, Corrupt Police officers and multiple thugs and mercenarys in on the bounty. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As Bat's gets closer defeating all the assassins, he discovers that there is something much more sinister within the plot. As Batman is ready to take out Roman, it is then revealed that it wasn't Roman who had put the bounty out... it was in fact the unknown JOKER! Also amongst this, Batman discovers that Bane had deduced his secret identity, therefore finding out where the Batcave is. So basically Batman knows that he's gonna have to sleep in in the morning.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, to rap this up Joker is taken to Blackgate prison, he then takes over the prison and sees Batman in a different light. Bat's has to take on a freakish Venom induced Bane and then defeats Joker in a church... all in all, it was a pretty peaceful night. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMdKB_F4GTjKIz4hOYycstUuxmjitolh-52xrWhV3l7Gce0YZVTn0_LzTy55Ujsco31V-yNMJIkBsZkwU6nh1oGIJ74qrAj7qwHjh-OvMG3_hz_vqTk2wYrZowRNZ71rPsOEztbB1zq5Z8/s1600/Batman+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMdKB_F4GTjKIz4hOYycstUuxmjitolh-52xrWhV3l7Gce0YZVTn0_LzTy55Ujsco31V-yNMJIkBsZkwU6nh1oGIJ74qrAj7qwHjh-OvMG3_hz_vqTk2wYrZowRNZ71rPsOEztbB1zq5Z8/s320/Batman+2.jpg" width="320" /></a>Alongside this, during the credits The Joker sings A cold, cold heart (presumably singing with Batman in mind); an easter egg for Quincy Sharp (you guys remember that guy from the first two games right?) to put Arkham Asylum back into commission and an after credits scene involving a sneaky Amanda Waller hiring an imprisoned Deathstroke to join the Governments 'Suicide squad', hinting at a possible spin-off, or DLC.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Like the tragically terrible Harley Quinn's revenge, this video game was not written by the Batman TAS writer, Paul Dini. Although it wasn't written by Dini, the game did stand it's own. It certainly wasn't a bad story, but it was the weakest out of Arkham Asylum and Arkham city. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As an avid comic book reader, you will notice that certain aspects of the video game was a mirror image of most of Dini's work, mirroring Batman TAS, most Batman comics and even the two previous video games within the Arkham series; for example, the twist where Black Mask turned out to actually be The Joker. This was basically the exact same twist where it was shown that Clayface was playing The Joker from the start to finish of Arkham city.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Don't get me wrong, though there were a few story points which were a tiny bit weak, there we a few very prosperous and impressive plot points and twists. An example of this is how Alfred doesn't approve of Bruce's alter-ego and I quote, calling him "A Playboy, with a trust fund and too much anger". But once Bane discovers that Batman knows that he knows his secret identity (which was an excellent plot twist by the way) and goes after Alfred in the Batcave, once Batman arrives and resuscitates him (courtesy of the Electrocutioner), Pennyworth then approves of Bruce's night time agenda and accepts that Gotham needs A Dark Knight.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One thing that ruins this twist is the Bane boss battle fight in Blackgate. It seems that in all Arkham games, they find it necessary to include a fight with a Titan induced character (in this game it was really a TN-1 induced character, but who pays attention to detail?). </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0R2D4gbCugRXDVJdrSIELpnoQHgslzOtffJeRPu5u4LWcoZLsAT3VqKZXqFTZrCSkYpvlO09vGhA2khvrOZWdvZxtwtLbrGM5YadhR_JKvC9fWHsNYhm1QZsFjvFPYk6muj7wYiQ0duhy/s1600/Batman+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0R2D4gbCugRXDVJdrSIELpnoQHgslzOtffJeRPu5u4LWcoZLsAT3VqKZXqFTZrCSkYpvlO09vGhA2khvrOZWdvZxtwtLbrGM5YadhR_JKvC9fWHsNYhm1QZsFjvFPYk6muj7wYiQ0duhy/s320/Batman+5.jpg" width="320" /></a>We know that in Arkham Asylum, that it was confirmed that the Knightfall ark (when Bane broke Batman's back) had already occurred in this timeline, but by the end of the Bane battle, it shows that the TN-1 had caused Bane to lose his memory 'permanently', therefore meaning that Bane has forgotten about the secret identity of our Caped crusader, and then meaning that the Knightfall aspect will never happen. This just makes the timeline go all higgledy piggledy.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Gameplay in Arkham Origins was an improvement upon Arkham City's gameplay, but not a huge improvement as the gameplay was basically up to perfection in City! </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Like all the other games, Origins requires stealth gameplay in nearly all parts of the game. Personally, the stealthy parts of the video game are the best parts. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
With the combat, you can see how the AI have gotten a lot more ruthless as the street thugs really aren't afraid to through punches at our Caped crusader, showing that the gameplay has gotten a lot harder. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJOjgG9g8zdN2bYj6gx7NR7k2NisNzgMvITlbWG-M-gZ2RCqT8aLrfjJGCq8rXM6vGkcSTjvvOvgzORymJ_kWAXTAto4fdCIpQgLDGX_8aye16qKUCzaq5ezUZLssH2FqPzlW8K-KhSjQw/s1600/Batman+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJOjgG9g8zdN2bYj6gx7NR7k2NisNzgMvITlbWG-M-gZ2RCqT8aLrfjJGCq8rXM6vGkcSTjvvOvgzORymJ_kWAXTAto4fdCIpQgLDGX_8aye16qKUCzaq5ezUZLssH2FqPzlW8K-KhSjQw/s320/Batman+4.jpg" width="320" /></a>As i had said, the stealth gameplay is a s good as always. Being able to grapple from gargoyles is the same and most of the gadgets (like the story) were mirror images of previous games. For example, the glue grenade was basically the freeze pellets, the concussion detonator was the Remote electric charge gun, etc. I have to admit that the Remote claw that you obtain from Deathstrroke was fun, but that was just a copy of the line launcher!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You do eventually get shock gloves *cough* Arkham city Wii U edition *cough* from Electrocutioner, which is a tiny bit fun at the beginning, but you eventually have to rely on that when in a tight spot, which i don't really approve of.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDrOQatq3hhujAvlNcweki0HC0jy03Wkpyxi1tpMtA-_yvgNP00LZovM2a30ri_VOmOJfEnLEBhQBxOvwIjHZz-qZX76a_T6sgbMRZK4xg3JRSNeK8Su3g73iGz7P7Dqv_SucOe-tjqiF4/s1600/Batman+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDrOQatq3hhujAvlNcweki0HC0jy03Wkpyxi1tpMtA-_yvgNP00LZovM2a30ri_VOmOJfEnLEBhQBxOvwIjHZz-qZX76a_T6sgbMRZK4xg3JRSNeK8Su3g73iGz7P7Dqv_SucOe-tjqiF4/s200/Batman+6.jpg" width="156" /></a>Batman has a new Detective vision which includes having the ability to rewind and fast forward crime scenes, which i personally enjoy. Although, it does tend to hold your hands through the detective work, it is still a fun accessory.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another new feature is the multiplayer aspect. An aspect that wasn't even touched in the previous games. This system includes a 3v3v2 game, where players can either play as a merc on Bane's team, a common thug on Joker's team, or a certain Caped Crusader and Boy Wonder. I found this part of the game fun, but it wasn't necessarily anything new or groundbreaking.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Map for Gotham is huge! So huge in fact that it requires you to have to use fast travel. Yes, the Bat-wing is accessible to use in this game. I am rather disappointed that you can't personally fly it, but it is a useful tool to go from place to place. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the fun thing</div>
s about using the Bat-wing is being able to get to the Batcave, which you are able observe and explore!<br />
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Just a quick mention about Christopher Drake's music, which is beautifully composed. To be honest, this soundtrack is probably my favourite out of the series. I can definitely feel the Die Hard aspect of the score.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall, I found this to be a pretty fun game to play. It wasn't anything new or fresh mind you, but it was fun. Unfortunately, this prequel suffers from what most prequels fall for... timeline hiccups. This game doesn't lead into Asylum or city very well, so there are a few plot holes. Among this, it would be fun to actually not have Joker be the main villain in every single game. Give another villain a try...like Egg-man...</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

As i had stated earlier, i have now returned to this blog after a long, long break from it and am planning to do multiple things with it, but what you probably don't know is that I am planning to review most of the movies, video games and comics i had/have missed over my lifetime to review.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Just a quick update on that!</div>

Spidey fans all over the world are stuck in an irritating web of confusion about who Felicity Jones is playing in Marc Webbs' sequel THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.<br />
Some speculate about her playing Felicia Hardy AKA Black Cat and some even believe she may be playing the Super villainess Menace.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicodpscWPZv4MbbOgYwRCqthhn5vzxLQpfLD8NBmMCBYIERgEBynETt01lnoagrV4M9bC3xSkYN757uTe2E4kcVVwaALr2LSls04CCfC5LbeiIyWnX483CWgKn9WBN1vDM19LnnUSAChWa/s1600/Felicity+Jones.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicodpscWPZv4MbbOgYwRCqthhn5vzxLQpfLD8NBmMCBYIERgEBynETt01lnoagrV4M9bC3xSkYN757uTe2E4kcVVwaALr2LSls04CCfC5LbeiIyWnX483CWgKn9WBN1vDM19LnnUSAChWa/s200/Felicity+Jones.jpg" width="144" /></a>Back in July, Ms Jones announced that she was playing The Green Goblins girlfriend and that's all we knew about this 'Invisible Woman'... until now...<br />
<br />
In an interview with <a href="http://collider.com/felicity-jones-invisible-woman-interview/">COLLIDER</a>, Jones finally confirmed that in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 she will in fact wear a costume.<br />
Here's what she said in the interview:<br />
<br />
<div style="border: 0px; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
COLLIDER: Did you have a say in your costumes for that?</div>
<div style="border: 0px; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<b style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">JONES: Oh, yeah, totally! Absolutely! It’s a medium that’s very collaborative. Actors and directors work on things together. That’s how I like to work, anyway. I don’t want to be told what to do. I want to share it with someone and work it out together. You know that person better than anyone. That’s my job.</b></div>
<div style="border: 0px; font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<b style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><br /></b></div>
So, as you probably noticed, Felicity kind of let the ball drop on the whole costume thing, thanks to the interviewers sneaky interviewing skills; but this still doesn't tell us who she's playing!<br />
I personally count on her playing Hardy, or even The Green Goblin for a while.<br />
<br />
What do you think?<br />

Zoom is set to appear in The Flash TV series?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTmJe3aHA6nl-ahJvRsNGkAOTFiaLXkfklkR_Sy6ZVfdiNp6uv-iu82YSANtr2mvfuB3EnlNwfUsebnbc6JnN8HiERBzJK_HdcqErg84lvS5i2pYFNOOjJ4G1YhaWKlK3vaeO0LSlhQnep/s1600/Professor+Zoom+pic+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="178" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTmJe3aHA6nl-ahJvRsNGkAOTFiaLXkfklkR_Sy6ZVfdiNp6uv-iu82YSANtr2mvfuB3EnlNwfUsebnbc6JnN8HiERBzJK_HdcqErg84lvS5i2pYFNOOjJ4G1YhaWKlK3vaeO0LSlhQnep/s320/Professor+Zoom+pic+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
CW's THE FLASH will feature Barry Allen's Time travelling arch-nemisses Professor Zoom AKA Reverse-Flash.<br />
Here's Bludhaven Banter's scoop on the story:<br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;">Alright, here's the scoop. In pilot episode for </span><i style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;">The Flash</i><span style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;">, there is a character called</span><b style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;">"Detective Eddie Thawne"</b><span style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;"> which sounds a lot like Eobard Thawne, the name of Professor Zoom. Now, that's not a lot to go on, so I did some additional digging and it turns out that he may very well become the villain we all know and love. The description for the character states that he is "leading man handsome" (late 20s-early/mid 30s) and has recently transferred to Central City Police Department from Keystone. Thawne is set to be loved within the precinct and takes the credit for a lot of things that Barry can't. (We assume this'll mean he takes credit for some of </span><i style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;">The Flash</i><span style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;">'s work, but that's just speculation on our part). However, the most intriguing part about this character is that his past will be a complete mystery. No one knows where he comes from, and he "harbors a dark secret". That does sound very ambiguous, but as a comic fan, it's easy to put one-and-one together to make two.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: #1b1b1b; color: white; font-family: Arial, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px;"><br /></span>
So, what do you guys think? Will Mr Thawne appear in the show and will he sport his iconic yellow, black and red costume?<br />
Leave you suggestions in the comment below!<br />

There have been plenty of rumours floating around that the next instalment of The Amazing Spider-man series, will be leading up to 'The Death of Gwen Stacy' storyline. The pictures which have been released (thanks to Superherohype) for the movie seem to subtly confirm the rumours.<br />
<br />
For those who don't know, Gwen Stacy's wardrobe from the following pictures are reminiscent to the clothes she wears in The Amazing Spider-man # 121, in which poor Miss Stacy is thrown off The George Washington Bridge (which was hinted at the end of The Amazing Spider-man) by the Green Goblin.<br />
<br />
Here are more pictures featuring the possibly doomed Gwen Stacy:<br />

EA studios Visceral, DICE and BioWare will also be teaming up with Lucasfilm for the development of the games.<br />
<br />
To be honest, I am rather worried about this, though it is comforting that EA studios is part of the project.<br />
