After he introduced $751 million worldwide to the Spider-man reboot, Variety have now confirmed the return of Marc Webb for The Amazing Spider-man 2, which is set to be released in 3D in theaters May 2nd 2014. The site also confirms that filming is to begin next year.Andrew Garfield is set to reprise his role as the Genius, Web-slinging, Wall-crawler Peter Parker/Spider-man, along with Emma Stone reprising her role as the beautiful Gwen Stacy.
Avi Arad will be producing the film, along with Matt Tolmach.
