The Dark Knight Rises gains over $1 billion worldwide

An epic conclusion, to an epic trilogy. We all know what I'm talking about; Christopher Nolan's: The Dark Knight rises! Despite some of the movies faults, it was a rather exciting and interesting movie. The cast and crew were great and the story was well put (apart from some plot holes).

The blockbuster classic has now reached over $1 billion worldwide! $431 million domestically and $574 million internationally. This is the 13th movie to do so and the third comic book movie to achieve this goal.
This movie has surpassed Nolan's second Batman installment, The Dark Knight which had gained $1.0003 billion worldwide!
