Are there enough female superheros in the movie universe?

If you are a big movie/comic book fan like myself, then you would know that there have not been many female characters hitting the big screen (apart from the movie Catwoman which was terribly terrible).
Female characters which have been around for a while haven't come to theaters or even small live action television shows such as Wonder Woman, The Huntress or even Black Cat. It is rumored that Wonder Woman was being produced but never saw the light in both the 20th century and 21st.

Usually the only superheroines you see in Live action movies or TV shows are supporting casts. For example: Smallville where they have small little cameos or references, such as Black Canary, Stargirl and Zatanna.
These characters can be recurring or just references.

As I was saying, I believe that it would be much better to have more Superheroines in movies and TV shows. A way for them to do this is too maybe include Captain Marvel in Avengers 2 to go alongside with The Black Widow.

What do you think?
Which other Superheroines would you like to see in Avengers 2 or in any other Superhero movie? Please comment.

Do you think the next Batman movie should involve a sidekick?

It is coming up to the end of the Dark Knight saga and now we are all thinking what is in store for the next Batman movie. Will it be as dark as the Christopher Nolan movies or a little bit brighter and more child friendly? Do you think that Batman should have a sidekick?

Batman hasn't had a sidekick in the movieverse for over 17 years since a very bad movie including Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey (I am only going to say that it includes Batman in the title and Forever). This movie had Robin (Dick Grayson version) as the sidekick and has been used many times. I think it is time to introduce a new sidekick. Dick Grayson would be good as Nightwing, or maybe Jason Todd (second Robin/Red hood) or even Jean Paul Valley (Azrael).
Batman has a whole variety of supporting casts. Maybe he can go to a female sidekick such as Barbra Gordon (Batgirl/Oracle) or Kathy Kane (Batwoman).

Do you think that there should be a sidekick in the next Batman movie and if so who?

How did Andrew Garfield get stuck in the Spider's web?

Every skinny kid out their can really relate to Peter Parker, but none other than Andrew Garfield. Andrew Garfield is going to be in the upcoming movie The Amazing Spider-man (directed by Marc Webb), but how and why did he get into the red and blue spandex?

Andrew Garfield has always been a Spider-man fan, ever since his mother dressed him up as Spider-man for Halloween when he was three, but I bet he didn't know he would be putting on a skin tight Spider-man costume and swing from rooftop to rooftop in New York city.
Garfield says that as a kid he could really understand the troubles that Peter Parker could when reading comics. He could really connect and understand what he was going through, but he thought of Parker as being the Underdog and thought well of him whenever he stood up for himself and others (those moments still send shivers down my spine). Andrew Garfield always thought of Peter as a symbol of good and also an idol.
In early 2010, Andrew Garfield heard about plans for an Amazing Spider-man movie and when could you ever actually play your idol? Marc Webb was directing this even though he wasn't very well known and had to carry out the franchise which had three Summer blockbusters from before!
To make sure that Andrew got the role, he sent a picture of himself when he was three years old in the Spider-man costume to the producers of the film and put them in a position where they just couldn't say no.

Amazing Spider-man will hit theaters in July 3rd.

Do you think there should be a Toy Story 4?

There have been rumors going around stating that Pixar are thinking whether they should make a Toy Story 4!
Fans such as myself think that Pixar is taking a huge risk in making a new installment for Toy Story, as the third one ended the story very well with tears of joy and laughter.
I think that if they were to carry on with Toy Story that they should just make comics and shorts for these.
What do you think?

Which villain should be in Amazing Spider-man 2?

With Amazing Spider-man swinging his way to the theaters (thwip, thwip), we are now asking ourselves: who will be the next villain for Spidey to face?
Spider-man has a whole load of villains which haven't been used in previous films and I would think that some of them would do rather well in a Spider-man movie regarding to the story of what we have gathered from different videos and trailers.
I believe that maybe the original Vulture (Adrian Toomes) would make a good villain as he is a scientist and might have something to do with Peter Parker's back story as his father was a scientist and may give a reason for his parents disappearance. I chose this villain as he is not well known movie wise and I think that him being the villain would allow battles high above.
Another villain that would make a great rival would be the Green Goblin as he would be able to face Spidey physically and mentally.
Which villain do you think should be in Amazing Spider-man?

Stan Lee excited to be part of the Amazing Spider-man gameplay

With the Amazing Spider-man movie coming in just under three weeks and the Amazing Spider-man releasing in just under a week, of course news about the game will be going around. It has been said that you will be a be in control of...Stan Lee?
The story goes that Stan Lee loses his script and he has to swing around New York city (like Spider-man does) searching for the script.
Stan Lee will have all the same powers and techniques of Spider-man and you will be able to stop crime and random abuse as you roam around. Also the character will be voiced by the man himself: Stan Lee! He seems very excited about this.

Monsters inc sequel. Will it really be as good as the first?

On June 20th, Monster University (the sequel to the 2001 Disney/Pixar movie Monsters inc) trailers have been appearing from different sources all over the internet. The movie appears to have the old gang back including James P Sullivan (Johnny Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal). The only difference in this movie is that it's set in... college, hence the name Monsters University.
Everything seems okay from the trailers I have seen so far, but the biggest question remains: will it be as good as the first?
The sequels are always the hardest to receive good reviews from viewers due to people not thinking that it's not as good as the original. The same problem was with Pixar's Cars 2. It was just an okay movie; not the best or worst but it just made it by the skin of its teeth.
One other problem would be if you would have to watch the previous film to understand the characters (even though it's set ten years before Monsters inc). Pixar had made a great move when they made the film where you didn't have to watch the previous films for Toy Story 3 to understand the third one so I take my hat off to them, but will they do this in Monster University?
Here is a trailer for the 2013 movie...

Are movies based on board games true to the actual games?

I watched Battleships a couple of weeks ago and I was left thinking about how the movie relates to the original board game. Granted, the movie includes ships and things blowing up but when you think about it, the movie has nothing to do with the board game and I must not be the only one who thinks about the movie the same way as I.
Apart from this, I think that the movie has rather a few flaws, for example: the jokes where none of them were actually funny, some of the actors chosen (I am not going to mention the name, but she gave it a good run) and the story. I think that the beginning was dragged out a little bit and some parts didn't need to be included.
All the comments aside I give this movie a 5 out of 10

Possible Black Panther movie?

There have been rumors for a Black Panther movie for a while now and with the Avengers movie in theaters wouldn't it be a good idea to include T'Challa in a possible sequel? Or maybe in his own film? Well first of all you need to get the right actor for the role.

There are many Black African actors to play T'Challa, ranging from well known actors to the actors which have just been introduced in recent films, like they had done in Thor when introducing Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki; this worked very well and now the two actors have appeared in other recent movies and are now known across the face of the Earth.
However I would believe that finding an actor who is not well known would be great.
Also the villain they choose will be very important. It can't be too much of a cheesy villain but maybe a villain which hasn't been used much such as Klaw. Klaw has been in no movies and has been in only a couple of television series where he only appears in one episode, such as Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes and I doubt that he would appear in any other Marvel single movies (apart for cameos).

If they were to do a Black Panthers movie I would think that it should fit in with the recent Avengers movie so they might be able to fit him in somewhere as either a cameo or as one of the members of the team. To indicate that this is set in the same universe as the Avengers movie, they should include little Easter eggs like they had done in previous films; for example: In The Incredible Hulk, Emil Blonsky/The Abomination is given the Super Soldier Serum which connects to Captain America. Another example is in Iron man 2 where some sort of design for Captain America's shield is shown where Tony Stark/Iron man uses it to keep the pipe level. In that exact part is where Tony uses Vibranium as a knew source of energy for his Arc Reactor in his chest and the Vibranium is what Captain America's indestructible shield is made of, which could
tie-in whit Black Panther as Wakanda (where Blank Panther originates from) is where Vibranium is sourced. So this is how it could tie-in with the whole Marvel movie universe.

Wreck-it Ralph

Wreck-it Ralph is an upcoming 3D Animated comedy movie which is produced by Walt Disney animation studios. This movie will be the 52nd Disney animated feature movie.
John C.Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Sarah Silverman each include their voices in this movie.
John C.Reilly voice the main character, Wreck-it Ralph who is an Arcade video game villain who decides that after 30 years that he can be a good guy.
Wreck-it Ralph is the villain of the arcade game called Fix-it Felix JR. Fix-it Felix is a builder and the aim of the game is to rebuild the building which Wreck-it Ralph destroys.
Ralph has been doing the same job for over thirty years and then wonders...why should he be the one to constantly be beaten... why can't he be the hero for a change.
Ralph then escapes from his game and ends up appearing in the game "Heroes Duty" a first player shooting game, where he helps the games hero, Sergeant Calhoun. He then enters a game called Sugar Rush which is a Kart Racing game where the tracks are made out of all sorts of delicious sweets and chocolate. It's there where  Ralph meets Vanellope Von Schweetz and is then informed that her game is in danger and it may have been Wreck-it Ralph's fault .

Can a Justice League movie really work?

This week Warner Brothers confirmed that a Justice League movie script was being produced. The rumor has been around for a while and has even increased after the Summer blockbuster Marvels: The Avengers which was directed by Joss Whedon. After this it was a possibility that another big team would be produced, in this case The Justice League. But how will Warner Brothers handle this?

First of all they have to look at the characters. There have been many versions of Batman and Superman. Whether they pick to use the same actors from previous movies (I highly doubt that Christian Bale will once again put on the cowl and the pointy ears) or if they do a darker or more brighter versions of them, we all recognize the red and yellow "S" and the big pointy ears. Like I said, there have been many versions of the two.
However, unless you are a die hard comic fan like myself the other characters are not really known. You might recognize the Green Lantern from the 2011 movie which was rather disappointing and (dare I say) lame but that's all they will think of him as... lame.
The same with the rest of the team; you might know that Flash was the fastest person alive and that Wonder Woman is basically a Goddess, but they don't really know these characters. You would have thought Warner Brothers would have taken a page out of Marvels book by having the characters have their own movies to lead up to the team-up, but rumor has it that the characters will have their own spin-off movies after the Justice League hits the theaters which is rather a good idea to introduce the characters, but for you to get the real feeling of the character during the Justice League movie they should have introduced the characters before the movie (like Marvel did), so that the people who know less about the team and the characters are ready to go and see the Justice League knowing about their attitude, their powers and maybe even how they became how they are. For example: In Iron man we understand that he is a fun eccentric billionaire, who would have died if it weren't for the Arc Reactor in his chest and when he built this Arc Reactor Iron man was then born. It's the same Thor, Captain America and Hulk, we all know how they became how they are. Even Black Widow and Hawkeye have their own little parts in the movies, we may not know them as well as we know the other heroes but we were introduced to them. This is what the Warner Brothers should do (Well in my opinion).

Avengers Assemble Review

I  saw Avengers Assemble in the theaters a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that it was absolutely mind blowing, Joss Whedon handles each character very carefully and each gets a part. Some people say that Hulk (played by Mark Ruffalo) steals the show, but I strongly disagree with that statement; Hulk may get some funny parts but it wasn't all just based around him, they all got their fair share.
I was a little skeptical about this movie, thinking about whether it was going to work or not and just tumble upon itself but instead of that happening, it all went together nicely.
I also worried about he main plot of aliens invading and worrying if it would seem at all chessey but I was relieved of my worries and was deeply happy about the outcome.

SPOILER ALERT!!! (DO NOT READ ON IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THIS MOVIE)

Thanos

The Mad Titan himself may appear in the next film, with the chin that only a mother could love.
It is said that Thanos provided Loki with the Chitauri army when trying to conquer the Earth.
The Other states that opposing the Avengers would be "to court with death" and then Thanos turns towards the camera with a menacing grin.

SPOILERISH ALERT!!! (ONCE AGAIN)

Shawarma

After the battle between The Earths Mightiest Heroes and the Chitauri, Tony suddenly has a craving for the flavorful... Shawarma.
2012-05-08-TheAvengersshawarma.jpgAfter the second post credit you find the whole team sitting back, relaxing (finally) eating Shawarma in what seems to be a destroyed restaurant. Now all over the world restaurants have been selling different types of Shawarmas' after watching the film!!!
